Electronic file transfers to the Graphics Department

Large Graphics files should be COMPRESSED before E-mailing to This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. . It is recomended to not email files large than 10 megabites, though our system has no limitation on size, other servers might and this may cause the files to come through.

Compressing files in necessary to preserve the integrity of the file information, which otherwise may be lost as it travels across internet servers. It also takes a lot less time to send the file.

FTP (File Transfer Protocol)

Large Graphic files shouldn’t be E-mailed, as it is much more time consuming and less reliable than using File Transfer Protocol. To FTP a file you must have an FTP Program installed in your computer. As with E-mail, FILES SHOULD BE COMPRESSED to preserve the integrity of the files.
